Magic the Gathering: - ASL Win-a-Box of Marvel Super Heroes COLLECTOR Event (Sat, Aug 1st, 12PM)

Have you ever wanted to learn ASL while playing your favorite game, Magic the Gathering? Well now you can!

Saturday, August 1st, at 12 PM Delainey, our Deaf manager, will be leading a class on basic signs to know while playing Magic! This is open to hearing, Deaf and hard-of-hearing players! After the lesson, the tournament begins! Take on other players while using your newly learned signs! As always we will be going over basic signs for things that come up often in Magic. (If you have any requests for signs you would like to learn please email them in to us!)

This event is meant to be a fun way to make Magic just a little bit more accessible to the Deaf community. We are limiting it to bracket 3 Commander decks only; this means a limit of three Game Changers, no mass land denial, and no early-game combo wins. A ban list will be voted upon and made official after this tournament. This way whether you are a seasoned player or new to Commander everyone can have fun! While Bracket 3 decks are allowed it is up to bracket 3 so bracket 2 decks are also welcome! (Questions? You can send in your deck list or bring it by to check prior to the Win-a-box challenge!) 

There unfortunately has been some issues regarding what a bracket 3 deck looks like, while no official rule changes will be made for this specific tournament, a vote will be held prior to and after the tournament about a ban list and other changes regarding bracket 3. We will also vote on using a lottery system for the win-a-box moving forward. This would mean the winner of the box would be by raffle but 1st, 2nd and 3rd place would still receive a higher prize pool. Keep all of this in mind for voting when you come in to play!
